What is this and how does it work?

Hi, My name is Corrado Izzo and i am the CEO of CodeisCode.com - The Home of WPEP...The ELearning Platform for WordPress.

In this short Execution Plan i am going to show you step by step how you can Certify your Students by adding Certifications to your Courses and Elearning Platform.

I will go thru the entire process with you on-screen in just a minute

Ok, Ready?

Let's do this!

Why should you add Certificates to your Courses?

To Increase Student Retention

Being awarded a Certificate is a rewarding experience.

If your Students complete a Course and receive a Certificate of Completion they will more likely continue studying the next Course you’re offering and the next and the next.

The desire to relive a rewarding experience is a huge motivator for us human beings and it is an essential part of a well-designed learning journey.

Students will also share their accomplishments, rewards and certificates in their social circle and beyond which in an indirect and powerful way will raise awareness for your ELearning Platform and Brand.

WPEP Drag & Drop Certifications Settings Walkthrough

Certifications are created and activated for each Course individually.

To add Certificates to a Course do this:

1.: On Your WordPress Dashboard go to WPEP >> All Courses and >> Edit the course you want to add a Certificate to.

2.: Click Certify

3.: Choose and Set the Status by choosing 1 of 3 available options from the Dropdown Menu.

Option 1: Disabled (Use this if you'd like to stop awarding the Certificate).

Option 2: Award on Course Completion

Option 3: Awarded on Course & Assessment Completion

4.: The Lock After Option (Optional)

Let's say you create a Certificate Design on January 15th and then on March 15th you update your template but you'd like all your Students receiving Certifications before March 15th to receive the 1st Certificate Design and you want the Students you Certify after the 15th March to get the new Certificate Design.

In such a scenario you would set the Lock After Date to March 15th.

This is optional and in most cases a setting that is not needed.

Certification Builder Dynamic Content Fields

When you first upload your Certificate Design into the WPEP Certification Builder your Template will be blank like in the example placeholder Certificate you can see below.

The Visual Certification Builder enables you to place a number of Dynamic Content Fields onto your Template.

WPEP will then automatically & dynamically personalise the Certificate and fill in all the Text Data for you.

Basically, these Content fields work like the personalization fields you're used to from your Email Marketing App.

The Following Dynamic Content Fields are available to you:

1.: Full Name - Display your Student's Full Name.

2.: First Name - Display your Student's First Name.

3.: Last Name - Display your Student's Last Name.

4.: Issue Date - Display the date on which the Certificate was issued.

5.: Course Name - Display the name of the Course.

6.: Course Started Date - Display the date on which your Student first started the Course.

7.: Course Completed Date -Display the date on which your Student completed the Course.

8.: Assessment Grading - Display your Student's Assessment Grading.

9.: Custom Text - Display a Custom Text on your certificate.

This information is pulled from your Student's initial signup and is mostly information that he provided directly to you.

Certificate Personalization Features Explained

When you first open the Certifications Builder you'll see a placeholder Certificate Image.

The first thing you want to do is to click Change Image and upload your own Certificate Template.

Dynamic Content Fields Features Explained

In the Certificates Builder, you have 9 Dynamic Content Fields at your Disposal. You can use these fields to Personalise your Certificate. Each one comes with the same set of features.

What do you do to personalize your Certificate?

Step 1.: You 1st select a given field you'd like to add & insert into your blank Certificate Template.

The Moment you click it the field will appear on your blank Certificate Template.

Each field has controls. The arrows cross (2) enables you to drag and move the field around and the brush opens the font personalization edit box which enables you to customise the font type and font colour.

The Font Personalization Edit Box Features

1.: Text field delete.

2.: Close the edit box.

3.: Select Font type from the Dropdown Menu.

4.: Change the Text colour.
